Sadly, summer is winding down and teachers are getting ready for school as well as the students. We have a shoes of hope event saturday, August 10 at the solomon calhoun center where elementary aged children will receive a new pair of shoes, be prayed for and have their feet washed. We will need volunteers there as well as shoe donations. This year we are adding backpacks and school supplies so anything you can donate will go to kids in need. Also, Pedro Menendez is doing s new teacher orientation in early August and has asked us to be a part of it, we will be feeding 30 people and serving them during that time. Fifteen brand new teachers and their mentors. An awesome time to love on some new educators. Please let Pastor jeff know if you want to play any role in any of these events we would love to have help serving our community.

Yes I am out of town for the weekend, but I want to thank everyone for stepping up so that I can sneak away and preach at the track and enjoy some drag racing this weekend. The good news is the worship team will be on point as always and our own Hali Worthington will be preaching. I promise you won’t want to miss it!

Just a few friendly reminders: Tonight we are taking youth on the road to celebrate Hartley Atwood's senior night for lax at St Augustine High at 5:30. Our senior recognition service will be Sunday, May 19 please have any photos you want submitted to the slide show in by May 12. A huge thank you to everyone who has been bringing refreshments, don't forget to sign up on the back table. Don't forget your prayer requests for the prayer wall. We are sharing our prayer wall with Coquina so as you fill out a card and hang it on the prayer wall we ask that you take one from the wall home with you and pray that week for the request listed.

Our girl Addy went and won the Character accounts Award at her school for trustworthiness. We are proud!

Back to our regular schedule with youth this Wednesday at 6:30, make sure you text in your chikfila order before 5:00 so we can pick it up. Also, thank you to everyone who has been bringing delicious refreshments each Sunday, I have been forced to make Sunday a carb day lol. Sunday, May 19 will be our graduate recognition service, you won’t want to miss this time as we laugh, cry and pray over our graduates as they take their next big steps in life. Finally, we have talked with Coquina church and we want to begin utilizing our prayer board as a way to join our groups. If you have a prayer request please put it and some details into the index card and hang it on the board. Then take one off the board home with you to pray over for the week. Each week exchange it for a new one and add as you see needs. Have a great week!

No youth this Wednesday evening we will meet again in two weeks on March 27th. We will have our graduate recognition service Sunday May 19th to celebrate the accomplishments of our graduates with their families. We will be buying Bibles for our seniors as well as the graduating seniors on my softball team at Pedro Menendez. We give each of them a Bible with a cover in the school colors with their name engraved on it. If you want to give towards the Bible’s please mark your envelope or check Bibles.

There will be no youth this evening, the weather has pushed my softball game to tonight and it would make things tricky. We will be back to normal next week. This Saturday there is a bbq competition at the church, it will be out in our parking lot and it is a fundraiser for the church, please stop by and buy some delicious bbq. It is a much smaller set up than usual so we don’t need any volunteers but you are all welcome to come hang out. Coquina Community Church has moved in officially, they meet Sundays at 4:00pm in our space and it has been a smooth transition so far. A huge thank you to everyone who played any role in our third annual Jimmy Jam bbq slam this weekend. We will be needing a few strong backs today to finish up with the clean up, they waved the cleanup fees to help us make more profit but it also means more work. So anyone who can give us a couple hours today would be a huge help.

Freedom Ski is about to hit the road for West Virginia. We are thankful for this opportunity to get away and see some snow and have some fun with our young people. Also thankful for Jason Forrest who will be preaching this weekend while I am away. And a huge thank you to Mr Rich Bramos for painting the new columns our front.
